What exactly does BlackBone Outfitters do?
BlackBone Outfitters plans and curates world-class fishing travel experiences. We connect anglers with trusted local operators, help match trips to skill level and goals, and handle the planning so you can focus on the experience—not the logistics.
Do I need to be an experienced angler to book a trip?
Not at all. We work with everyone from first-timers to seasoned anglers. When you reach out, we’ll dial in a trip that fits your experience level, comfort zone, and what you want to get out of the adventure.
Do you only offer fly fishing trips?
No. While we love fly fishing, our trips are not limited to it. We offer fly, spin, conventional, and mixed-gear experiences depending on the destination and species you’re chasing.
How does the trip planning process work?
It’s simple. You tell us what you’re chasing, where you want to go (or let us recommend), and your experience level. From there, we help build the right trip and connect you with the best local operators for that experience.
Are your trips guided?
Yes. All trips are run with vetted, trusted local guides who know their waters inside and out. We work closely with operators who share our standards for professionalism, conservation, and guest experience.
Do you handle travel, lodging, and logistics?
We assist with the full picture. Fishing, lodging, and trip coordination. Depending on the destination, we can help guide you through accommodations, travel timing, packing, and gear so nothing is overlooked.
Why should I book through BlackBone instead of directly with a lodge?
We add value. Our job is to make sure you’re booking the right trip and not just a trip. We help match expectations, skill level, and timing, and we stay involved before, during, and after your experience.
How far in advance should I book a trip?
Ideally, several months in advance. Especially for prime seasons and remote destinations. That said, if you’re working with a tight timeline, reach out. We’ll see what’s possible.
