the lodge experience

The lodge is a two-story standalone house located just five minutes from the vibrant coastal town of Boquerón, known for its lively atmosphere, excellent restaurants, and local bars. Guests enjoy a fully guided experience with transportation, lodge meals, and drinks included, while fishing daily from Maverick skiffs with experienced Florida-trained guides. The program combines comfortable accommodations with easy access to both great fishing and Puerto Rico’s unique local culture.

Typical Itineraries

Typical Itinerary Days begin with coffee and a light breakfast at the lodge before heading to the water with your guide for a full day of fishing. Lunch and drinks are provided on the boat, and evenings wind down with dockside happy hours, poolside relaxation, and group dinners at local restaurants or BBQs at the lodge. With all logistics, lodging, and guiding handled, guests can simply arrive and focus on the fishing experience.

Tarpon & Permit

Tarpon and permit are the primary targets, with anglers regularly getting multiple shots at permit on coastal flats while wading or fishing from poling skiffs. The island holds a large population of resident tarpon that remain year-round, often sight-fished along mangrove shorelines, sand flats, and beaches in clear water. As the only operation targeting these fish from poling skiffs, the fishery remains largely unpressured, with tarpon commonly ranging from 10–50 pounds.
