Silver Tide Fishing | Mothership
Silver Tide runs a private, fully staffed 77-foot liveaboard mothership to the Scorpion Atoll, with three dedicated skiffs, expert guides, and a crew of five whose only job is to make sure you spend every available hour chasing large bonefish on the fly. Scorpion Atoll sits deep in the Gulf of Mexico, a remote chain of uninhabited sandy islands and coral shelves that almost no one has ever fished. Double-digit bonefish are the norm here. Permit tail in water so clear it doesn't look real. This is not a resort destination. It is an expedition, and it is unlike anything else on the BlackBone platform.

Silver Tide Liveaboard | Scorpion Atoll, Gulf of Mexico
Sixty miles off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, past the reach of day boats and weekend crowds, sits Scorpion Atoll. Known formally as Arrecife Alacranes, it is one of the most remote and least pressured saltwater fisheries in the world. Silver Tide Liveaboard is the operation that takes you there.
Silver Tide runs a 77-foot Hatteras mothership with three guides, three skiffs, and a maximum of six anglers per trip. There are no other boats. No other lodges. Just open flats, double-digit bonefish, permit, tarpon, and triggerfish that have seen almost no fishing pressure. The kind of fishing that used to exist everywhere and now exists almost nowhere.
This is not a destination for anglers looking for convenience. Getting to Scorpion Atoll requires flying into Merida, a night in one of Mexico's great colonial cities, and a long run offshore aboard the mothership. What you find at the other end is worth every hour of it. Flats that are as technical and rewarding as anything in the Caribbean, fish that eat because they have not been educated, and a fishing experience that feels like stepping back thirty years.
Silver Tide is currently in its soft opening season. The crew is dialed in, the fishery is untouched, and there are very few people who know this place exists yet. That will not last.
BlackBone Outfitters works directly with Silver Tide to handle all bookings, flights into Merida, transfers, pre and post-trip hotel nights, and full trip coordination from start to finish. Six spots per trip. When they are gone, they are gone.

A mexico trip unlike any other
An untouched Fishery
Scorpion Atoll is one of the most remote reef systems in the Gulf of Mexico. The result is a bonefish and permit fishery that operates like it did decades ago, healthy populations, zero pressure, and fish that behave the way they're supposed to.
Double-Digit Bonefish
This is the only bonefish fishery in Mexico where shots at double-digit fish are usual and consistent. Vast white sand and coral flats with crystal clear visibility produce tailers and cruisers throughout the day. You will see the fish. You will have the shots. What happens next is up to you.
A Mothership Built for Comfort
Four cabins, three separate lounge and social areas, a full galley, and air conditioning throughout. You sleep on the water, you wake up on the water, and you never have to leave to find the next flat. Silver Tide built the vessel specifically for multi-day remote expeditions, and it shows.
Maximum Six Anglers
Silver Tide doesn't take large groups. Six anglers is the cap, two per guide, three skiffs. That's it. The fishing stays quality, the boat stays comfortable, and the experience never feels crowded. For anglers used to lodges running at full capacity, this format is a revelation.

Scorpion Atoll Fly Fishing: The Complete Guide to Mexico's Most Remote Bonefish Destination
Had an amazing day with August and the No Name crew! Couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water both my girl and I landed a handful of Tarpon and even had shots at the ever so sneaky permit! I’d highly recommend these guys and get on their books ASAP! Great time with even better people!
